聞くこと

Аан гээд уун гэж бай

「ああ」と言って口を開け、飲み込む用意をしていよ。

Say "ah" and stand ready to drink it in.

бүгдээрээ хэлэлцвэл буруугүй, бүлээн усаар угаавал хиргүй

皆で話し合えば間違いなし、ぬるま湯で洗えば汚れなし

There is nothing wrong if we discuss something all together, There is no dirt if we wash with warm water

дүнз мод ч гэсэн дүнтэй дантай, дүлий хүн ч гэсэн аан-тай уун-тай

大きな丸太も音がする、耳の聞こえない人も聞こうとする

Even large logs make noise, Even a deaf person tries to hear

инээхийг асуу, уйлахыг бүү асуу

笑っている人には聞け、泣いている人には聞くな

Ask the laughing person, Do not ask the crying person

Нэг чихээрээ оруулаад нөгөө чихээрээ гаргах

片方の耳から入れて、もう片方の耳から出す。

Put it in one ear and let it out the other ear.

нэг чихээрээ оруулж, нөгөө чихээрээ гаргах

一方の耳から入り、もう一方の耳から出す

Enters in his one ear, He puts it out his other ear

олон хэлбэл улиг, цөөн хэлбэл билэг

多く語れば陳腐、少なく語れば才知

Say much and it grows stale; say little and it shows wit

онгойж байхаар умайж бай

開けているより閉じていよ

Rather than stand open, stay shut

учир мэдэхгүй хүнд, үг хайран

分からない人に言う言葉はもったいない

Words said to person without understanding will be wasted

цэцэнд хоёр чих цөөдөх, тэнэгт нэг хэл олдох

賢者には耳が二つでも足りず、愚者には舌が一つでも多すぎる

Two ears are too few for smart one, One tongue is too many for foolish one

үг хэдий гашуун ч амьдралд тустай, эм хэдий гашуун ч биенд тустай

言葉はいかに苦くとも人生に益あり、薬はいかに苦くとも体に益あり

However bitter the word, it helps the life; however bitter the medicine, it helps the body
