олон удаа бодож, нэг удаа хэл

何度も考えて、一度だけ言え

Think many times, Say one time

олон хэлбэл улиг, удаан суувал уйтгар

何度も言えばうるさい、長く座れば退屈

If saying many times, it is an annoyance; If sitting a long time, it is a bore

олон хэлбэл улиг, цөөн хэлбэл билэг

多く語れば陳腐、少なく語れば才知

Say much and it grows stale; say little and it shows wit

олон хэлбэл чалчаа, дуугүй суувал ихэмсэг гэх

たくさん話せばおしゃべりだと言われ、黙って座っていれば高慢だと言われる

Speak much and they call you a chatterbox, sit silent and they call you haughty

олон хүн сайнтай, муутай; ой мод урттай, богинотой

多くの人には良い人も悪い人もいる；森には高い木も低い木もある

There are good and bad among the many people; There are long and short trees in the forest

олон үгийн оосор нь нэг, түмэн үгийн түлхүүр нь нэг

多くの言葉には一本の綱、万の言葉には一つの鍵

There is one cord for many words, There is one key for a multitude of words

олон үгэнд олзгүй, ганц үгэнд гарзгүй

多くの言葉に利益なし、一言に損失なし

No gain in many words, No loss in one word

олонтой бол, баянтай

友が多ければ豊かである

If you have many friends, You are rich

олуулаа бол хүртэхээрээ ид, цөөхүүлээ бол цадахаараа ид

大勢なら分け合って食べ、少人数なら満腹まで食べよ

If you are many, eat until sufficient; If you are few, eat until full

омог хүчээ дарж, оюун билгээ хичээ!

傲慢さと勢いを抑え、知性と知恵を励ましなさい！

Curb your pride and force, cultivate your mind and wisdom

омог хөдлөөд зовно, хилэн цохилоод сөнөнө

傲慢になれば苦しみ、怒りが爆発すれば滅びる

Pride stirs and brings suffering, wrath strikes and brings ruin

омогтой тархинд ухаан бага, овтой тархинд ой бага

傲る頭に知恵は少なく、狡い頭に記憶は少ない

In a proud head there is little sense; in a crafty head there is little memory

омогтой хүний цээжинд билиг тогтох нь бэрх, овгор, товгор, газар ус тогтох нь бэрх

傲慢な人の胸に才能が宿るのは難しく、ごつごつした起伏のある土地に水が溜まるのは難しい

Wisdom lodges hard in a proud man's breast, water lies hard on rough uneven ground

онгирно гэдэг омгийнх, огино гэдэг шарынх

自慢は驕り者のもの、野蒜は黄なる野のもの

Boasting belongs to the proud; the wild leek belongs to the yellow steppe

онгироо хүн олонд хүндгүй, огтор хормой шаварт нөмөргүй

自慢する者は尊敬されず、短いスカートは泥から守らない

People do not respect the braggart, A short skirt does not protect from the mud

онгойж байхаар умайж бай

開けているより閉じていよ

Rather than stand open, stay shut

онгойж явснаас, умайж яв

開いたままより繕って行く方がよい

It is better to go narrow than to go open

оолиор цавчвал өөгүй, олноор хэлэлцвэл буруугүй

斧で削れば滑らかになり、大勢で話し合えば良い解決が出る

If cut with an ax, it will become smooth; If discussed with many, a good solution comes

оосорт хийгээд оногдохгүй, уутанд хийгээд баригдахгүй

紐に入れても収まらず、袋に入れても掴めない

Put it on a strap and it will not sit, put it in a bag and it will not be held

ор гэхэд шагайх, ооч гэхэд долоох

入れと言われればのぞき、飲めと言われればなめる

When told to come in, only peek; When told to drink, only lick

оргих нь ихэдвэл, ширгэх нь их, орох нь ихэдвэл, гарах нь их

湧き出るのが多ければ、干上がるのも多く、入るのが多ければ、出るのも多い

The more the spring wells up the more it dries, the more comes in the more goes out

оргүйгээс, охинтой нь дээр

何もないより娘がいる方がよい

Better to have a daughter than nothing

оройтвол эртлэхэд бэрх, доройтвол дэвжихэд бэрх

遅くなれば早起きは難しく、衰えれば成功は難しい

It is hard to get up early when it is already late; It is hard to reach success after failing

оройтсон хүнд довон олон, оройтсон хүнд ноён олон

遅刻した者には小さな丘（小言）が多く、遅参した者にはお偉方が多い
