ядуу айлын хүүхэд, нохой эрх

貧しい家の子と犬は甘やかされる

In a poor household the child, and the dog, are the indulged ones

ядуу хүнд ноён олон, явган хүнд даваа олон

貧しい人には主人が多く、歩く人には坂が多い

The poor have many lords, The walking person has many hills

Ялагдах өдөр байхад ялах өдөр ирнэ

負ける日があれば、勝つ日も来る。

If there is a day of losing, a day of winning will come too.

ялзарсан мод ургахуйяа бэрх, ярвайсан хүн давшихуйяа бэрх

From a trifling thing, a worthless quarrel arises

ямаа туйлаад янгиа эвдэхгүй, тэмээ туйлаад тэнгэрт гарахгүй

山羊は怒っても鞍を壊せず、ラクダは怒っても天に登れず

A goat cannot break a saddle, even if it is mad; A camel cannot go to the sky, even if it is mad

ямаа ямбалж усгүй хоцорно

甘やかされた山羊は水を飲み損なう

A spoiled goat loses the chance for drinking water

Too much intimacy will be stupid

ярих нь их бол үг алдана, идэх нь их бол гэдэс нь өвдөнө

話が多すぎれば言葉を失い、食べ過ぎれば腹が痛む

Talk too much and you lose your words, eat too much and your belly aches

яртай модны яран дундуур, ярдаг хүний шилэн дундуур

節の多い木の節の間を、気難しい人の首筋を通せ

үг давтвал улиг, ном давтвал билиг

言葉が対立すれば喧嘩になり、雲がぶつかれば雨になる
