すべてのことわざ

намрын цагт шилд бууж, өвлийн цагт өтөгт бууж, хаврын цагт хаалт барьж, зуны цагт зүлгэнд буу

秋は山の尾根に、冬は堆肥の上に、春は風よけに、夏は草地に移動せよ

In fall move to the mountain crest, In winter move to the dung, In spring take cover, In summer move to the meadow

нар баруунаас гарч, надаас арван ихэр хүүхэд төрөх

太陽が西から昇り、私が十組の双子を産む

Sun rising from the west, My giving birth to ten twins

нар гарахаар байгаль сэргэдэг, ном уншихаар тархи сэргэдэг

太陽が出ると自然が蘇り、本を読むと頭が冴える

When the sun comes out nature is refreshed, When books are read the brain is refreshed

нар дэлхийг гийгүүлдэг, мэдлэг хүнийг гийгүүлдэг

太陽は世界を照らし、知識は人を照らす

The sun illuminates the world, Knowledge illuminates the person

нар сар ээлжилнэ нас жил өнгөрнө

日と月は入れ替わり、齢と年は過ぎてゆく

Sun and moon take turns; years and age pass on

нар улайвал, ган болохын шинж; нохой гасалбал, гай ирэхийн шинж

太陽が赤くなれば干ばつの兆し；犬が吠えれば災いの兆し

If the sun goes red, It is the sign of a coming drought; If the dog yelps, It is the sign of coming trouble

нар улайж мандвал тэнгэр зохирох, манан татаж эхэлбэл үер болох

日が赤く昇れば天気は定まり、霧が立ちこめ始めれば洪水になる

A red sunrise means settled weather; gathering mist means a flood

нар хаанаасаан бол навч тийшээгээн

日のあるほうへ、葉は向く

Wherever the sun is, that is where the leaves face

нар хүрээлбэл надад муу, сар хүрээлбэл сайдад муу

日に暈がかかれば我が身に悪く、月に暈がかかれば大臣に悪い

A halo round the sun bodes ill for me; a halo round the moon bodes ill for the minister

нар хүрээлбэл ордог, сар хүрээлбэл хүйтэрдэг

太陽が暈をかぶれば雨が降り、月が暈をかぶれば寒くなる

When the sun wears a halo it rains, when the moon wears a halo it turns cold

нар хүрээлбэл орохын тэмдэг, сар хүрээлбэл хүйтэрхийн шинж

日に暈がかかれば雨の兆し、月に暈がかかれば冷え込む兆し

A halo round the sun signals rain; a halo round the moon signals cold

нар шимийн том, сар шөнийн өөх

日は恵みの大いなるもの、月は夜の脂

The sun is the great giver of nourishment; the moon is the fat of the night

нар үгүйд, сар ч гэрэлтүүлдэг (гэрэл болдог)

太陽がないときには、月もまた照り輝く（光となる）

When there is no sun, the moon too gives light

нараа дагавал даарахгүй, найр дагавал өлсөхгүй

太陽に従えば寒くない、宴に従えば飢えない

If following the sun, not cold; If following the feast, not hungry

нараан барсан тэнгэр муу, наадмаан барсан хүн муу

日を失った空は悪く、祭りを終えた人は悪い

A sky that has lost its sun is ill; a man whose naadam is over is ill

наранд унтаж, саранд бөөсөө түүх

太陽の下で眠り、月明かりでシラミを取る

Sleep in the sun, Collect lice in the moonlight

наранд эрээгүйг, саранд эрэх; намар хийгээгүйг, өвөл хийх гэгчээр

昼に探さなかったものを夜に探す；秋にしなかったことを冬にする

Not found in daytime, Will look for at night; Not done in autumn, Will do in winter

наргүй өдөр бүрхэг, саргүй шөнө харанхуй

太陽のない日は曇り、月のない夜は暗い

A day without sun is overcast, A night without moon is dark

нарнаас хоргодож болдог, наснаас хоргодож болдоггүй

日差しからは身を隠せても、齢からは隠れられない

One can take shelter from the sun, but not from age

нарны гэрэл тусахад, үүлгүй бол нэн сайн; насны багад эрдэм сурахад, залхуугүй бол нэн сайн

日光が当たるとき雲がなければ最も良い；若くして学ぶとき怠けなければ最も良い

When the sunlight is shone, It is good if there are no clouds; When learning at a young age, It is good if not lazy

нарны гэрэл хурц ч гэсэн, үүлгүй бол нэн сайн, насны багад сэргэлэн ч гэсэн, залхуугүй бол нэн сайн

太陽の光がいくら鋭くとも、雲がなければなお良く、若いうちがいくら聡明でも、怠け者でなければなお良い

Bright as the sun's light is, cloudless is better still; clever as the young are, free of sloth is better still

нарны дараа бороотой, навчны дараа жимстэй

日照りのあとには雨が降り、木の葉のあとには実が成る
